북유럽에서 통용되는 “Everyman’s Right”. 이는 모두가 자연을 자유롭게 누릴 권리를 존중하는 북유럽 사람들의 정신을 담고 있다. 자연이라면 사유지일지라도 이러한 권리를 함부로 침해할 수 없다. 버섯은 이러한 권리의 증표 같은 존재이다. 자연에서 나는 버섯이라면 누구든 이를 채취하고 향유할 권리를 가진다.
우리는 모두가 자유롭게 예술을 즐기고 향유할 권리, 즉, “예술에서의 Everyman’s Right”를 주창하고자 한다. 공유지와 사유지의 경계를 넘어 자연 그 자체를 바라보듯, 일상과 예술의 경계를 넘어 작품 그 자체를 즐길 수 있기를 바란다. 우리는 그 증표를 가구에서 찾았다. 마치 버섯과 같이, 가구는 일상과 예술의 경계를 넘나들 수 있는 좋은 수단이 될 수 있다. 자연과 버섯, 일상 공간과 가구. 이번 전시는 “Everyman’s Right” 아래 교차되는 두 대응점의 관계성을 탐구하는 과정이다.

“Everyman’s Right,” widely recognized in Northern Europe, reflects the freedom to enjoy nature. Even on private land, this right cannot be arbitrarily restricted. Mushrooms symbolize this freedom—anyone may harvest and enjoy them.
We propose a similar idea in art: the right for everyone to freely enjoy and appreciate it—an “Everyman’s Right in Art.” Just as nature transcends property boundaries, art can transcend the boundaries between daily life and the art world.
We found this symbol in furniture. Like mushrooms, furniture can bridge everyday life and art. This exhibition explores the intersections of these two points under the concept of “Everyman’s Right.”

Pohjois-Euroopassa laajalti tunnettu “Jokamiehenoikeus” kuvastaa vapautta nauttia luonnosta. Jopa yksityisellä maalla tätä oikeutta ei voi mielivaltaisesti rajoittaa. Sienet ovat tämän vapauden symboli—kuka tahansa voi kerätä ja nauttia niistä.
Samaa ajatusta haluamme soveltaa taiteeseen: oikeutta, jonka avulla jokainen voi vapaasti nauttia ja arvostaa sitä—“Jokaisen oikeus taiteessa”. Aivan kuten luonto ei tunne omistuksen rajoja, myös taide voi ylittää arjen ja taidemaailman rajat.
Löydämme samaa symboliikkaa huonekaluista. Kuten sienet, huonekalut voivat yhdistää arjen ja taiteen. Näyttely tutkii näiden kahden maailman kohtaamisia “Jokaisen oikeus” -teeman kautta.
